Stuff That Makes Me Happy or Grateful.

I have spoken before about taking time to sit and appreciate stuff you have in your life that you actually take for granted when you should appreciate them. It is really important - mental health issues or not  - to take time each day and reflect on what you have and what you're grateful for. You will soon realise how lucky you are and hopefully your mood will lift (once you get into the habit of doing this regularly).

Many people say not to pick materialistic things for this list and while I agree, I actually think it is important in this fast paced world in which technology evolves literally every week and this weeks must have purchase very quickly becomes old hat that we DO appreciate the gadgets and modern technologies we are lucky to have and be able to afford it. It is so easy to get caught up in the 'must have' or 'want want want' culture.

What I am Truly Grateful For: 

My Family and Friends.
My Husband and our daughter.
Owning a house and no longer renting.
Being healthy and not having any health concerns.
Meditating and practising mindfulness.
A long hot bubble bath and exfoliating my skin.
Exfoliating my face and a face mask.
Painting my nails (when they grow long enough!)
Long walks.
Sunny Autumn days.
My coat collection (yep, really)
Having a safe, comfortable and reliable car.
Having fun weekends with friends.
Having fun weekends with family.
Cooking a yummy dinner.
Baking with my daughter.
Taking my daughter to the park.
Taking my daughter for a day out.
My daughters laugh.
My houseplants.
My new nephew.
Having brilliant in laws.
Music.


There are many more things I know it but right now I can't think of any more.
